Now access Banking Services from the comfort of your home, using your voice! In an endeavour to help you with open access to banking, Axis Bank offers Voice Banking Services via Amazon Alexa. Enabling this on your device allows you to simply “ask” for your banking details, and the same shall be sent across to you!

Operational across the Alexa App, Amazon Echo and Amazon Echo Dot, voice banking can be used to instantly know your bank account and credit card details.

To use Alexa Voice banking simply need to “find” Axis Bank and enable the skill, either via the Alexa app or from Amazon.com.

Steps to enable Axis Voice Banking on your Alexa device:

    Search for “Axis Bank Voice Banking” in the skills section of the Alexa App.

    Link your Axis Account to this skill and accept the terms and conditions.

    Verify your account using your Internet Banking Credentials

  • 4

    Set up the Voice PIN, that would be used for the authorization of your voice commands. (Please do not share this voice PIN with anyone)

Note: For a better customer experience, please ensure that the language for your phone as well as Alexa enabled device (Alexa App, Amazon Echo and Amazon Echo Dot etc.) is set to English (India).


To change the language on the Alexa App go to:
Settings >> Device Settings >> Languages.


To change the language for mobile devices, you could refer to the general flow of steps below:
Settings >> System/General Settings >> Language & Inputs >> Language

Once you’ve setup the Axis Bank skill, simply start talking to your Alexa enabled device. Here are some things you can ask Alexa about your Axis account:

  • Is it safe to open my Axis account using Voice Banking?

    Yes. It is absolutely safe to link your account and bank using Axis Voice Banking.

  • Can someone else who uses the same Alexa unit/app open my Axis account?

    No. Nobody will be able to open and transact from your Axis account since every transaction requires voice PIN. Do not share your voice PIN with anyone.

  • Is my voice PIN the same as my MPIN?

    No. Your PIN is different from your MPIN. Your voice PIN is the 5-digit passcode that you create when you link your Axis Bank account to the Axis Bank skill. You will be prompted to provide the PIN on every transaction.

  • How do I change my voice PIN?

    In case you have forgotten your voice PIN or need to change it:

    • Disable your Axis Bank skill by opening the Alexa App and selecting “DISABLE SKILL.” Then enable the skill again and create a new 5-digit PIN when prompted.
  • Which banking transactions can I undertake using Axis Voice Banking?

    Currently, you can ask for your Account Balance and Credit Card bill details using Voice Banking.

  • Is there an extra charge for using Voice Banking?

    No. This services is absolutely free for all our customers.

  • Can I disconnect Alexa from my Axis account?

    Yes. You can unlink your account by disabling the Axis Bank skill.

    To disable the skill,

    • Open the Alexa App on your device
    • Search for “Axis Bank Voice Banking” under “Skills” in the menu
    • Select “DISABLE SKILL.”
  • Can I lodge a Complaint through Voice banking?

    This feature is currently unavailable via Voice Banking.

To know your Account Balance via Voice Banking.

    Go to your Alexa App or Alexa Echo Dot or Echo Spot

    To activate Voice Banking, speak out “Alexa, open Axis Bank”

    After the device lists out the activities it can perform, say “What is my Account Balance” or simply “account balance”

    If you have multiple accounts, Alexa will prompt you to choose the desired account

    Select your desired account, and verify the transaction with your Voice Pin

Your account balance will be sent to your registered mobile number

To get your credit card bill via voice banking.

    Go to your Alexa App or Alexa Echo Dot or Echo Spot

    To activate Voice Banking, speak out “Alexa, Open Axis Bank”

    After the device lists out the activities it can perform, say “What is my credit card bill” or simply say “credit card bill”

    If you have multiple credit cards, Alexa will prompt you to choose a credit card

    Select your desired credit card, and verify the transaction with your Voice Pin

Your credit card bill details will be sent to your registered mobile number.

To get your Transaction history via Voice Banking.

    Go to your Alexa App or Alexa Echo Dot or Echo Spot.

    To activate Voice Banking, speak out “Alexa, open Axis Bank”.

    After the device lists out the activities it can perform, say “Show my transaction history” or simply say “Transaction history”.

    If you have multiple accounts, Alexa will prompt you to choose the desired account.

    Select the desired account, and verify the transaction with your voice pin.

Your Transaction history will be sent to your registered mobile number.

To get your Cheque Book via Voice Banking.

    Go to your Alexa App or Alexa Echo Dot or Echo Spot.

    To activate Voice Banking, speak out, “Alexa, open Axis Bank”.

    After the device lists out the activities it can perform, say “I need a cheque book” or simply say “order cheque book”.

    If the customer has multiple accounts Alexa will prompt you to choose the desired account.

    Customer will select desired account, and customer will be asked to confirm the delivery address.

    And verify the transaction with your voice pin followed by an OTP sent to his registered mobile number

A message confirming the order for your chequebook will be sent to your registered mobile number.

To Block Card via Voice Banking.

    Go to your Alexa App or Alexa Echo Dot or Echo Spot.

  • 2

    To activate Voice Banking, speak out “Alexa, open Axis Bank”.

  • 3

    After the device lists out the activities it can perform, say “I need to block my card” or simply say “block card”.

  • 4

    If you have multiple cards linked to the account, Alexa will prompt you to choose the desired card.

  • 5

    Select the desired card, and verify the transaction with your voice pin followed by an OTP.

A message confirming your credit/debit card (mentioning its last digits) being blocked successfully, will be sent to your registered mobile number.
